Jennifer K. Pelton, CFRE
Jennifer K. Pelton, CFRE is the Director of Development of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and oversees the organization’s comprehensive fundraising efforts. Pelton was previously the Director of Development of the Public Justice Center in Baltimore, MD, a position she held for 15 years. Prior to that she served in numerous fundraising and nonprofit management roles. A graduate of Wells College, she is also an accomplished fundraising teacher, nonprofit consultant, and author of several journal articles. Along with Linda Beeman, Aurora Consulting, Pelton co-created a development planning toolkit that guides volunteer and staff leadership to create dynamic and effective fundraising efforts.
